Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 18, 2025
Welcome to Audov, a mobile app for reading novels and listening to audiobooks. This Privacy Policy explains how [Your Company Name] (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Audov (“App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1) Who we are & how to contact us
Audov

Email: support@audov.net
2) What we collect
We do not collect precise location data.
- Account & Profile: name/display name, email, password (hashed), preferences, library/saved items.
- Content You Provide: reviews, comments, playlists/queues, uploads if you are a creator (e.g., audio files, cover images, metadata).
- Device & App Info: device model, OS, app version, language, time zone, basic device identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS if you consent to tracking), and crash logs.
- Usage Data: screens viewed, features used, in-app events (e.g., play, pause), and session timestamps to improve performance and reliability.
- Purchase Data: subscription status and purchase receipts from Apple App Store / Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Push Notifications Data: device push token (for alerts like new releases). You can disable notifications in system settings.
3) How we use your information
- Provide core features: reading, playback, library sync, and offline support.
- Operate creator uploads & content delivery.
- Improve performance, fix bugs, and protect against abuse.
- Send service messages (e.g., updates to terms, important account notices).
- With your consent: deliver personalized ads (via AdMob) and measure ad performance.
4) Advertising, tracking & your choices (iOS ATT)
Audov uses Google AdMob to show ads. On iOS, the App may request permission to track your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies (AppTrackingTransparency / IDFA). We only access the IDFA if you tap “Allow” on the Apple system prompt. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
- NSUserTrackingUsageDescription (iOS): “This identifier will be used to deliver personalized ads relevant to you.”
- You can opt out of personalized ads:
- iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking (disable app tracking) and Ad settings.
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Delete/Reset advertising ID or Opt out.
- AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location (from network), and usage data to measure and personalize ads, subject to your choices.
5) Third-party services we use
- Google AdMob – in-app advertising and measurement.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (optional) – push notifications (stores device push tokens).
- Apple App Store / Google Play Billing – subscriptions and in-app purchases; we receive receipt/transaction IDs, not full card numbers.
- Hosting/Storage – our backend runs on cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS EC2/S3 or equivalent) to process uploads and serve content.
Each third party processes data as an independent controller or processor under their own terms and privacy policies.
6) Legal bases (EEA/UK only)
- Contract: to provide the App and requested features.
- Legitimate interests: security, analytics to improve the App, non-personalized ads.
- Consent: personalized ads/tracking (IDFA on iOS) and push notifications where required.
- Legal obligations: compliance with applicable laws and requests.
7) Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data (subject to any legal retention requirements).
8) Sharing of information
- Service providers who help us operate the App (hosting, analytics, support).
- Advertising partners (e.g., AdMob) to show and measure ads, subject to your choices.

- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We do not sell your personal information.
9) International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries different from where you reside. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) to protect your data.
10) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11) Your rights & choices
- Access, correct, or delete your account data (contact us or use in-app controls where available).
- Object to or restrict certain processing (where applicable by law).
- Withdraw consent (e.g., turn off tracking/ads personalization, disable notifications).
- Portability: request a copy of your data (where applicable).
12) Children’s privacy
Audov is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law for consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
13) Push notifications & background audio
With your permission, we send push notifications (e.g., new releases, updates). You can disable them in device settings. The App may play audio in the background if you start playback; this does not involve location tracking.
14) In-app purchases & subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We store only receipt identifiers and subscription status needed to provide premium features. For billing disputes, please contact the relevant store.
15) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version in the App and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by notice within the App.
